As the Kenai Peninsula’s premier pet daycare and boarding facility, we are looking forward to serving your pet care needs. Our goal at the Blue Moose Bed & Biscuit is to provide you with a place where you can leave your pet for a few hours, a day, overnight, or on a long term basis and feel secure that your pet is being well taken care of in a fun, safe, secure environment that will allow them lots of socialization time as well as lots and lots of love and attention by our staff.

Dogs are, by nature, “pack” animals and thrive on the socialization, security, and routine of a well balanced pack. At the Blue Moose, we strive to provide that environment for your pet. From the moment that your pet comes through the front gate, he/she becomes part of the Blue Moose Pack. “Newcomers” are introduced slowly to the pack by a staff member (the pack leader) and soon realize that they are in a safe, non-threatening environment where they can do what they do best--- PLAY!!! Soon after new dogs arrive, there is play bowing, chasing, ball throwing, and tug games galore in the outdoor play area. (Our play area can be separated into three different play areas when necessary for dogs of different ages, sizes, and temperaments.)

Playtime is followed by quiet time in our sleeping area or outside on the porch with lots of chew toys, and “claws and paws” time (where dogs lay down and mouth and paw each other playfully.) Overnight guests are usually so tired by bedtime that they are happy to go to their crates and curl up for the night….but not before they get their nightly treat!!!
